Hakeem Yaseen mourns former MLA Gurez Faqeer Khan’s demise | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 20 (KNO): Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and former minister, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former MLA Gurez, Faqeer Mohammad Khan. Calling him a former colleague in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Yaseen in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that such leaders, who dedicate their lives to public service, are rare. He described Khan as a seasoned politician who always prioritized the welfare of his people and worked tirelessly for the development of Gurez. Expressing heartfelt condolences, Yaseen extended his sympathies to Khan’s family and supporters, praying for strength to bear this irreparable loss. He said Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape has lost an experienced leader whose contributions will be remembered. Senior PDF leader Yaseen emphasized that leaders like Khan leave behind a legacy of service and commitment that should inspire future generations. He urged society to acknowledge and honor the sacrifices made by those in public life, ensuring their contributions are remembered with respect and gratitude. Yaseen also stressed that the reasons behind this tragic incident should be thoroughly investigated by the police to bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding Khan’s demise—(KNO)
